“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure”
~Peter Marshall
All racers face criticism, judgement, and intense expectations. Their careers depend in part on public interpretation of their talent, private analysis of their scores and strategies, and their own ability to digest it all without having a nervous breakdown at 220 MPH. Some buckle under pressure, some thrive. As a photographer, it seems a priviledge to preserve a moment that captures the ironclad composure of a pro.
